The Contacts DirectoryThe RISC World guide to who's who within the RISC OS games market R-Comp Interactive Products: Classic Conversions (Doom, Quake, Hexen, Heretic, Heroes of Might and Magic, Syndicate+, Chaos Engine); ProAction titles (Repton, Technodream, Frak, etc); Artex titles (Ankh, Exodus) The Fourth Dimension Products: A large number of classic titles. Games such as Stunt Racer 2000 and Drifter are very very playable, but 4D haven't released a new game in about a year, which is a great shame. Also suppliers of the Eclipse range, including DarkWood and Dune; and the Gamesware range, including Simon the Sorceror. APDL Products: A number of games related CD-ROMs, supplier of Wizard Apprentice and GEK software titles for RISC OS 3.5 or above, publisher of RISC World (postal contact address for any column). Visions of the Impossible Products: Nathan Atkinson's Visions of the Impossible holds the rights to the Acorn PD software from GEK. They've done a couple of commercial titles too, one - Sunburst - they released themselves, and another they released through R-Comp Interactive. The title? Chaos Engine... Should you wish to be added to this list, please email david@smashuk.com in order to justify your re addition. I have removed any names from companies whom have products under development, in the interests of minimising contact: if they're left to develop their RISC OS wares then they'll get them done quicker. I've also removed the contacts for games I do not believe will come to fruition. Should you wish to prove me wrong, please contact me at the magazine. David Bradforth |
